MEETER TERMS OF SERVICE

Terms of Service

Effective Date: July 23, 2026Last Updated: July 23, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legally binding agreement between you and Meeter (“Meeter,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), governing your access to and use of the Meeter website, desktop application, software, artificial-intelligence features, transcription features, subscription services, and related products and services collectively referred to as the “Services.”

Please read these Terms carefully.

By creating an account, clicking a button indicating acceptance, downloading or installing the Meeter application, purchasing a subscription, or otherwise accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge that you have read our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not access or use the Services.

IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING ARBITRATION

Section 22 contains a binding arbitration agreement and class-action waiver. Unless you timely opt out, most disputes between you and Meeter must be resolved through individual arbitration rather than in court.

1. Eligibility and Authority

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to use the Services.

By using the Services, you represent and warrant that:

  1. You meet these eligibility requirements;
  2. The information you provide is accurate and complete;
  3. You are not prohibited from using the Services under applicable law; and
  4. You will comply with these Terms and all applicable laws, regulations, contractual obligations, workplace policies, interview rules, and platform requirements.

If you use the Services on behalf of a company or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms. In that case, “you” includes both you and that organization.

2. The Meeter Services

Meeter is an AI-powered desktop meeting and interview copilot. Depending on your plan, device, operating system, location, and available features, the Services may allow you to:

  • Capture microphone audio;
  • Capture system audio;
  • Transcribe meetings and conversations;
  • Generate live AI-assisted suggestions;
  • Ask questions before or during meetings;
  • Upload documents for use as contextual reference material;
  • Store or review meeting-related content;
  • Generate summaries, responses, notes, and other AI-generated content;
  • Configure meeting-assistance and application settings; and
  • Access Free or Premium subscription features.

Features may differ between plans and may be changed, added, removed, restricted, or discontinued in accordance with these Terms.

Meeter does not participate in your meetings, interviews, communications, or decisions. You remain responsible for how you use the Services and for all statements, decisions, and actions you take in connection with them.

3. Account Registration and Security

Certain features require a Meeter account.

You may be able to create or access your account through Google OAuth or another supported authentication provider. Your use of a third-party authentication service is also governed by that provider’s terms and privacy practices.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate account information;
  • Maintain the security of your account and devices;
  • Protect your authentication credentials and session tokens;
  • Not share your account in a manner that bypasses plan or usage limits;
  • Promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access; and
  • Accept responsibility for activity performed through your account, except to the extent caused by Meeter’s breach of these Terms or applicable law.

You may not sell, rent, transfer, sublicense, or share access to your account without our written permission.

We may require you to reauthenticate, verify account information, or take other reasonable security measures before allowing access to sensitive account features.

4. License to Use the Software

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Meeter grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to download, install, and use the Meeter desktop application on devices you own or control solely for your personal or internal business purposes.

This license does not transfer ownership of the Services or software to you.

Except where applicable law prohibits such restrictions, you may not:

  • Copy, modify, translate, adapt, or create derivative works from the Services;
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive source code from the Services;
  • Circumvent licensing, authentication, subscription, quota, security, or technical restrictions;
  • Remove proprietary notices or branding;
  • Sell, lease, sublicense, distribute, or commercially exploit the Services;
  • Use the Services to develop or train a competing product;
  • Access non-public interfaces except as expressly authorized; or
  • Permit another person to do any of the foregoing.

Open-source components included with the software remain subject to their applicable open-source licenses.

5. Software Updates

The Meeter application may periodically check for, download, and install updates.

Updates may include:

  • Security updates;
  • Bug fixes;
  • Compatibility changes;
  • Feature additions or removals;
  • Performance improvements; and
  • Changes required to continue using third-party services.

Some updates may be installed automatically. You agree that Meeter may provide updates without additional notice where reasonably necessary to maintain security, compatibility, or operation of the Services.

Failure to install an available update may cause some features to become unavailable or stop functioning correctly.

6. Audio Capture, Transcription, and Recording Consent

6.1 User Responsibility

The Services may capture, transmit, process, transcribe, or store microphone audio, system audio, conversations, interviews, meetings, and other communications.

You are solely responsible for determining whether you may lawfully capture, record, transmit, transcribe, store, or otherwise process a communication.

Before using Meeter with any conversation, meeting, interview, call, or communication, you must:

  • Obtain all notices, permissions, and consents required by applicable law;
  • Inform participants when legally required;
  • Comply with employer, interviewer, educational institution, conferencing platform, and organizational policies;
  • Respect confidentiality and privacy obligations; and
  • Avoid capturing communications you are not authorized to access.

Recording and consent laws vary by jurisdiction. Some jurisdictions require the consent of every participant. Meeter does not determine whether consent is legally required, does not provide recording-law advice, and does not guarantee that your use of the Services is lawful in your location or circumstances.

6.2 Prohibited Recording Uses

You may not use the Services to:

  • Secretly record a communication where doing so is unlawful;
  • Intercept communications you are not authorized to receive;
  • Conduct unlawful surveillance;
  • Capture privileged, confidential, or regulated information without authorization;
  • Record minors without legally sufficient authorization;
  • Violate employment, education, interview, or platform rules;
  • Harass, stalk, threaten, blackmail, or exploit another person; or
  • Commit or facilitate fraud, identity theft, impersonation, or other unlawful conduct.

6.3 Responsibility for Captured Content

You are responsible for all audio, transcripts, notes, documents, personal information, and other content captured or submitted through your account. You represent and warrant that you have all rights and permissions necessary for Meeter and its service providers to process that content as required to provide the Services.

7. Artificial Intelligence Features

7.1 Nature of AI Output

The Services use artificial intelligence and machine-learning technologies to generate suggestions, summaries, answers, notes, analyses, and other content (“AI Output”). AI systems are probabilistic. AI Output may be:

  • Incorrect;
  • Incomplete;
  • Misleading;
  • Outdated;
  • Biased;
  • Inappropriate;
  • Duplicative of content generated for another user; or
  • Unsuitable for your intended purpose.

Meeter does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, originality, reliability, legality, or suitability of AI Output.

7.2 User Review Required

You must independently review AI Output before relying on, sharing, submitting, or acting on it. You are solely responsible for:

  • Statements you make during meetings or interviews;
  • Information you submit to employers, customers, colleagues, schools, or other parties;
  • Decisions based on AI Output;
  • Verifying facts, citations, calculations, and recommendations; and
  • Ensuring that your use of AI Output complies with applicable laws, rules, policies, and contractual obligations.

Meeter does not guarantee employment, interview success, business results, performance improvements, or any other outcome.

7.3 No Professional Advice

The Services and AI Output do not constitute legal, medical, financial, tax, mental-health, employment, or other regulated professional advice. You should consult a qualified professional before making decisions requiring professional judgment.

7.4 No Autonomous Authority

AI Output is provided for informational and assistive purposes. It does not have authority to bind Meeter, enter contracts, make commitments on our behalf, or modify your account unless the relevant action is separately confirmed and performed through an authorized application feature.

8. User Content

“User Content” means information or material you submit, upload, capture, transmit, store, or make available through the Services, including audio, transcripts, meeting information, chat messages, uploaded documents, resumes, cover letters, notes, prompts, context supplied to AI features, and feedback or support communications.

8.1 Your Ownership

As between you and Meeter, you retain your ownership rights in User Content. These Terms do not transfer ownership of your User Content to Meeter.

8.2 Limited License to Operate the Services

You grant Meeter a worldwide, non-exclusive, limited license to host, reproduce, transmit, process, format, display, and otherwise use User Content only as reasonably necessary to:

  • Provide and operate the Services;
  • Process requests initiated by you;
  • Generate transcripts and AI Output;
  • Maintain security and prevent abuse;
  • Diagnose technical problems;
  • Provide customer support;
  • Comply with applicable law; and
  • Enforce these Terms.

This license continues only for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes, subject to the retention practices described in the Privacy Policy.

8.3 Your Responsibilities

You represent and warrant that:

  • You own User Content or have sufficient rights to submit it;
  • Our processing of it as described in these Terms will not violate another person’s rights;
  • It does not contain material you are prohibited from sharing;
  • It does not infringe intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or contractual rights; and
  • It complies with applicable law.

8.4 Sensitive Information

Do not submit information that you are not authorized to process through the Services. Unless Meeter expressly agrees otherwise in writing, the Services are not designed for regulated or highly sensitive data such as:

  • Protected health information subject to HIPAA;
  • Payment-card data beyond information handled directly by an authorized payment processor;
  • Government-classified information;
  • Passwords, private keys, authentication secrets, or access tokens;
  • Information subject to specialized data-residency requirements; or
  • Other restricted information requiring contractual safeguards not offered by Meeter.

9. Rights in AI Output

As between you and Meeter, and to the extent permitted by applicable law, you may use AI Output generated for you through the Services, subject to these Terms.

However:

  • Meeter does not guarantee that AI Output is eligible for copyright or other intellectual-property protection;
  • Similar or identical output may be generated for other users;
  • AI Output may include errors or material that resembles third-party content;
  • You are responsible for evaluating whether your use infringes another person’s rights; and
  • Your rights in AI Output do not include ownership of the underlying Services, models, prompts, software, or Meeter technology.

10. Free and Premium Plans

Meeter may offer Free, Premium, trial, promotional, beta, or other service plans. The features, usage allowances, supported models, transcription limits, AI-credit limits, storage limits, and other plan terms are those displayed in the application, checkout interface, or pricing page at the time of purchase or use.

10.1 Usage Limits

Usage limits may include speech-to-text processing, audio-processing duration, AI input or output usage, AI credits, number or length of requests, storage, meeting duration, model availability, and feature-specific limits.

Usage may be measured based on processed audio time, AI processing, model usage, storage, or other technical measurements. Our server-side usage records control unless you demonstrate a clear measurement error.

Unless expressly stated otherwise:

  • Usage allowances reset at the beginning of each billing period;
  • Unused allowances do not roll over;
  • Allowances have no cash value;
  • Allowances may not be transferred between accounts; and
  • Purchasing or subscribing does not convey ownership of credits or computing resources.

10.2 Free Services

Free Services are provided without charge, subject to limits. We may modify, restrict, suspend, or discontinue Free Services at any time, with or without notice. Free Services may have fewer features, lower limits, different model access, or reduced support compared with paid plans.

11. Subscriptions, Billing, and Automatic Renewal

11.1 Paid Subscriptions

Premium subscriptions are billed in advance according to the price and billing period shown during checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe or another authorized payment processor. Meeter does not directly receive or store your complete payment-card number.

11.2 Automatic Renewal

Unless you cancel before the end of the current billing period, your subscription will automatically renew for successive billing periods, and your payment method will be charged the then-applicable subscription price plus applicable taxes.

By purchasing a recurring subscription, you authorize Meeter and its payment processor to charge your payment method automatically until you cancel.

11.3 Price Changes

We may change subscription prices prospectively. When required by law, we will provide advance notice before a price change applies to your next renewal. Continued use of the paid subscription after the effective date of the new price constitutes acceptance.

11.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription through the account-management or billing interface made available by Meeter. Cancellation prevents future renewal charges. Unless otherwise stated or required by law:

  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period;
  • You retain Premium access until that period ends;
  • Your account then reverts to the Free plan;
  • Unused time, credits, and usage allowances are not converted to cash; and
  • Deleting the desktop application does not automatically cancel your subscription.

11.5 Failed Payments & 11.6 Taxes

If payment fails, we or our payment processor may retry the payment method, limit or suspend Premium features, or cancel the subscription. You are responsible for applicable sales, use, value-added, and similar taxes.

12. Refund Policy

Except where required by law or expressly stated at checkout, subscription payments are non-refundable and non-creditable. We may, in our discretion, provide a refund or account credit in exceptional circumstances. Providing a refund once does not obligate us to provide another refund in the future.

13. Acceptable Use

You may use the Services only for lawful purposes. You may not use or attempt to use the Services to:

  1. Violate any law, regulation, court order, contractual obligation, or third-party right;
  2. Record or intercept communications unlawfully;
  3. Commit fraud, deception, impersonation, identity theft, or misrepresentation;
  4. Misrepresent your identity, qualifications, work, experience, or authorship;
  5. Violate interview, examination, educational, employment, or platform rules;
  6. Harass, stalk, threaten, exploit, intimidate, or harm another person;
  7. Generate or distribute unlawful, defamatory, infringing, obscene, or malicious content;
  8. Upload malware or harmful code;
  9. Probe, scan, test, or circumvent security controls;
  10. Gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, networks, or information;
  11. Interfere with the integrity, operation, or availability of the Services;
  12. Abuse API endpoints, authentication systems, quotas, promotions, or free accounts;
  13. Create multiple accounts to bypass usage limits;
  14. Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the Services without permission;
  15. Scrape, crawl, copy, or systematically extract data from the Services without authorization;
  16. Use automated systems to generate excessive or abusive requests;
  17. Attempt to discover or extract confidential prompts, credentials, keys, source code, or non-public technical information;
  18. Use the Services to develop, benchmark, or train a competing product without written authorization;
  19. Introduce content intended to manipulate AI systems into exposing restricted information or performing unauthorized actions; or
  20. Encourage or assist another person in doing any of the foregoing.

14. Third-Party Services & 15. Intellectual Property

The Services depend on third-party providers including Google, OpenAI, Stripe, and AWS. Meeter does not control third-party services and is not responsible for their independent acts or availability.

Meeter and its licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the Services, desktop software, website, logos, brand names, code, models, prompt architecture, and workflows.

16. Feedback & 17. Suspension and Termination

If you provide suggestions or feedback, you grant Meeter a perpetual, royalty-free license to use that feedback without compensation.

You may stop using the Services at any time. You may request account deletion by contacting support@meeterai.net. Meeter may restrict or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if required by law.

18. Beta Features & 19. Disclaimers

Beta features are provided "as is" and may perform unpredictably.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICES, SOFTWARE, AI FEATURES, TRANSCRIPTIONS, AND AI OUTPUT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITH ALL FAULTS. MEETER DISCLAIMS ALL EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY WARRANTIES.

20. Limitation of Liability & 21. Indemnification

MEETER'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO MEETER IN THE LAST 12 MONTHS OR ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Meeter from claims, damages, liabilities, and costs arising out of your misuse of the Services, User Content, or violation of applicable laws or third-party rights.

22. Binding Arbitration & 23. Governing Law

Except for small claims or IP disputes, any dispute arising out of these Terms will be resolved through binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules.

YOU AND MEETER WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL OR TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION.

You may opt out of arbitration by sending written notice to support@meeterai.net within 30 days after first accepting these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington. Exclusive venue is in the state and federal courts in Snohomish County, Washington.

  • Changes: We may modify the Services or Terms periodically. Material changes will be communicated with advance notice.
  • Electronic Communications: You consent to receive all notices, disclosures, and receipts electronically.
  • Copyright Complaints (DMCA): Send copyright infringement notices to support@meeterai.net.

29. General Provisions & 30. Contact Information

These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and Meeter. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining terms remain in effect.
